DEMO SADDLE POLICY

We currently have two saddles available for demos.  There IS a waiting list for the demo, so there may be a wait period for it.  You can e-mail me to see how long the current wait is.  Priority on the waiting list is given to those who fill out the demo request below.  Your deposit is not secured until the saddle is ready to ship to you.

The saddles currently available is a SIZE 2 CHEYENNE, BLACK and the Barefoot LONDON size 2 black.

Your demo comes ready to ride, with english close contact leathers, EZ ride stirrup irons, girth and a skito saddle pad.  When you receive the demo box, there will be a sheet of paper inventorying all items enclosed, as well as any defects noted.

DEMO FEES:  There is a $25.00 demo fee per saddle package.  This fee is charged when the saddle ships to you, and is non refundable.  If you decide to purchase a Barefoot saddle, you will receive a $25.00 coupon to use towards the purchase of your new Barefoot saddle. If you decide not to purchase a Barefoot saddle, the demo fee is not refundable.

DEPOSIT:  There is a  deposit authorized to your card when the demo package is ready to ship to you.  The deposit is $995.00 for the London package, and $775.00 for the Cheyenne package. The authorization is released from your card once the demo package is returned.  If the package is not returned, the deposit is forfeited.  If the saddle and/or accessories are damaged, the amount of the deposit returned will be adjusted accordingly.  We have NEVER had to do this thusfar, thanks to our conscientious customers.  Checks or money orders are NOT accepted for the deposit.

SHIPPING FEES:  Shipping in the US lower 48 is $50.00 which covers shipping BOTH ways.  When the demo period is complete, we will e-mail you a return label to ship the saddle back. Shipping to AK and HI is higher, please e-mail for a quote.

The Shipping fees AND the Demo fee are charged separately from the Deposit authorization and will appear as a charge to your card in the amount of $75.00. 

You will have 5 days from receiving the saddle to ride in it and try it out.  (If you need longer due to weather, etc, just ask, a day or two more is fine.  A week more requires a second demo fee).  After you are through, please brush it off, re-pack it, e-mail us for a return label, attach it to the box and drop it off at your nearest UPS shipment center.  We do ask that you take care of  the saddle when it is in your possession.  We are not concerned about usual wear and tear, we EXPECT you to ride in it without that worry .  We are concerned about abuse.  If it is returned minus any parts,  damaged or excessively worn [riding through briar bushes, dragging it on the ground, covered in mud, allowing the cat to use it as a scratching post, or the dog to use it as a bathroom.....you get the picture :o) ], the portion of the deposit refunded will be adjusted accordingly.

Recommendations:

• As with all tree-free saddles, we suggest the use of an insert pad, such as the SKITO OR GRANDEUR SADDLE PADS. 
• For your horse's comfort, always use a mounting block or aid
• Any dressage girth is compatible with the Barefoot Saddles
• For your feet, we recommend the comfort of  E Z RIDE STIRRUPS
• For barefoot horses, we highly recommend the BOA HOOF BOOTS or OLD MACS BOOTS
