Placing the Boa Horse
BootsTM
on your horse is easy!
|
Boa Boots
TM
STAY on your horse.
No need to look for a left or right boot, either one will do. To
place the boot on, first clean the hoof. Then, simply remove
the
front shield cover by twisting counter clockwise, and pull the dial of the Boa lacing system TM
forward until you feel it release. Spread the boot open with
your hands. |
|
|
Slip the Boa Horse Boot
TM
over the hoof, making sure your horse's toe is as far forward as
possible and the boot is on straight. |
|
|
Let the horse place his
hoof on the ground, setting the heel. |
|
| Now,
push the dial down until you feel it lock. Tighten slowly, by
turning the dial clockwise. The boot will begin to tighten
around the hoof and hairline. Do not over tighten. You
want to be able to insert a finger snugly between the collar of the
Boa Horse Boot TM
and the hairline. |
|
|
Finally, place the front shield cover on the boot, turn clockwise
just like a bottle cap, until it is secure, and presto. You are done!! |
|
When putting on your Boa Horse Boots
TM
please be advised of the following:
A
properly adjusted boot will be snug,
but you should still be able to fit a finger between the collar and
the hairline.
Important: After your
final tightening of the Boa Horse Boots TM,
walk your horse around a few steps. Tighten the internal dial an extra 1/4
turn. Visually check to be sure that the boots have
not twisted to the side. If
the boot has twisted to the side, it is either too large or needs to be
tightened. Discontinue use if the boot continues to twist. Boots that
twist can cause damage to the hoof and soft tissue areas.
Removing the boot is just the
opposite. Twist the shield cap counter-clockwise, removing it, pull
the dial on the Boa Lacing System™ away from the hoof until you feel it
release, and finally, spread the boot away from the hoof and remove.
