Measuring the hoof:  Be sure to measure the width and length of your horse's hoof as shown in the picture below.  For the length, be sure to measure from the BUTTRESS of the heel, not the heel bulb.

Ideally, your horse's measurements will fit into one size boot.  However, if your horse's width and length indicate two different sizes, choose the larger size. 

When putting on your Boa Horse Boots ^TM please be advised of the following:

Important:  After your final tightening of the Boa Horse Boots ^TM, walk your horse around a few steps.  Tighten the dial an extra 1/4 turn.  Visually check to be sure that the boots have not twisted to the side. If the boot has twisted to the side, it is either too large or needs to be tightened. Discontinue use if the boot continues to twist. Boots that twist can cause damage to the hoof and soft tissue areas.
