For those looking for a great all around treeless saddle, the Original Cheyenne from Barefoot Germany is for you!

This saddle weighs a mere 8 pounds without fittings.  Light enough for any woman or child to easily carry. Affordable, with quality to satisfy the most discriminating rider. All Barefoot saddles now come with the new VPS panel system. Learn more!

This cantle foam is thick, firm, yet forgiving to reduce pressure points from a hard formed cantle, which might occur when the rider sits more on top of the cantle than usual.

Now available, is wonderful synthetic nubuck version of the Cheyenne.  The Drytex is a lighter (7 pounds!) versatile saddle made of ultra strong Drytex "milled nubuck" (100 % sythetic) which is easy to clean and dries fast. Soft wool fleece under side. The saddle is suitable for dressage, trail and endurance riding. The saddle provides 5 D-rings to attach saddlebags, breastplates and crupper. Can be mounted with Barefoot® fenders or English style stirrup leathers. The billet straps are made of real leather. Do not use synthetic leathers on the Drytex saddle.

Saddle comes in THREE sizes.

  • Size 0, (black only) for children up to 12 years of age (special order allow 8-10 weeks)
  • Size 1 comparable to a 15-15.5" western, or 16.5-17.5" english saddle
    • Seat area is approx 14" (measurement B below), overall length is approx 21" (measurement A)
  • Size 2 comparable to a 16" or larger western, or 18-18.5" english saddle
    • Seat area is approx 15.5", overall length is approx 23"
